Graviton corrections to the Newtonian potential using invariant observables

چکیده
We consider the effective theory of perturbative quantum gravity coupled to a point particle, quantizing fluctuations both gravitational field and particle's position around flat space. Using recent relational approach construct gauge-invariant observables, we compute one-loop graviton corrections invariant metric perturbation, whose time-time component gives Newtonian potential. The resulting correction consists two parts: first stems from loops agrees with derived by other methods, while second one is sourced energy-momentum, may be viewed as an analog "Zitterbewegung". As check on computation, also recover classical which agree expansion Schwarzschild metric.

On the quantum corrections to the newtonian potential
The leading long-distance quantum correction to the Newtonian potential for heavy spinless particles is computed in quantum gravity. The potential is obtained directly from the sum of all graviton exchange diagrams contributing to lowest non-trivial order to the scattering amplitude. The calculation correctly reproduces the leading classical relativistic postNewtonian correction. The sign of th...
متن کاملScreening the Graviton Background, Graviton Pairing, and Newtonian Gravity
It is shown that screening the background of super-strong interacting gravitons creates for any pair of bodies as an attraction force as well an repulsion force due to pressure of gravitons. For single gravitons, these forces are approximately balanced, but each of them is much bigger than a force of Newtonian attraction. If single gravitons are pairing, a body attraction force due to pressure ...

We illustrate one-loop weak corrections to three-jet production in ee at √ s = MZ , to the production of a Z or γ in association with a hard jet at hadron colliders and to the production cross section of two b-jets at Tevatron and Large Hadron Collider (LHC).
متن کاملBounds upon Graviton Mass – using the difference between graviton propagation speed and HFGW transit speed to observe post-Newtonian corrections to gravitational potential fields Updated to take into account early universe cosmology
The author presents a post-Newtonian approximation based upon an earlier argument in a paper by Clifford Will as to Yukawa revisions of gravitational potentials, in part initiated by gravitons having explicit mass dependence in their Compton wave length. Prior work with Clifford Will’s idea was stymied by the application to binary stars and other such astrophysical objects, with non-useful freq...
متن کاملOne–loop corrections to polarization observables
We review the physics of polarization observables in high energy reactions in general and discuss the status of NLO one–loop corrections to these observables in specific. Many high order radiative corrections exists for rates but not many NLO radiative corrections exist for polarization observables. The radiative correction calculations for polarization observables are somewhat more complicated...
